The organising committee for the 10th Nordic Public Health Conference in 2011 invites abstracts from colleagues wishing to present a paper at the Conference. Research, policy, and project papers to be presented either orally or as posters are welcome. Conference languages are Swedish and English.
THE NEW DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION IS 15 MARCH 2011.
Nordic Public Health Conferences attempt to stimulate exchange among public health experts, researchers and practitioners in Nordic countries. The 10th conference in Turku addresses health promotion activities and relevant research on all levels. The main theme of the conference is “Health Promotion at a System Level”, involving e.g., structures and cultures of health promotion, knowledge and good practices, and inclusion and equity.
This Nordic Public Health Conference in August 2011 looks ahead to better implementation and intersectoral action on health promotion. The conference also analyses earlier experiences of Nordic welfare states in public health. The conference offers a forum for debating policy, practical activities and their effects and effectiveness.
We call all those active in health promotion work and public health research to submit an abstract. We wish to receive contributions from different disciplines and viewpoints related to the theme of the conference “Health Promotion at a System Level”. Following topics are examples to choose from. It is also possible to suggest your own theme.
An abstract must include:
1. An indication to which track (see above) the paper fits.
2. Is the abstract intended as a poster or oral presentation?
3. Abstract title (max 200 characters)
4. Full contact details of author(s): Name(s), affiliation, postal address (including post code), phone number (including country and area dialling code) and e-mail address.
5. Abstract text (max 2000 characters)
