Health facts

The project “From knowledge to action” has produced information about factors that affect health which are based on health behaviour and risk factor surveys and statistics from Russia and Finland. The focus is on two neighbouring areas: the Republic of Karelia in Russia and North Karelia in Finland.

The web page contains information on various health and welfare indicators, e.g. mortality, health behaviours, risk factors and self-reported health. Each topic has a page with essential facts and figures. A more extensive set of figures can be found in an information package, which can be downloaded from a link at the bottom of each page.
