Eeva Widström awarded Honorary Doctorate by Ovidius University in Romania

Professor Eeva Widström, Senior Medical Officer, received Honorary Doctorate from Ovidius University of Constanta in Romania on 24 May 2012.

Eeva Widström is Senior Medical Officer on oral health care at THL’s Service System Department and works part-time as Professor in Dental Public Health at the University of Tromsø in Norway.

She represented EU in the efforts to streamline the Romanian health care education systems when Romania applied for EU membership in 2004. Later on she has acted a lecturer, opponent and scientific expert especially in Constanta.

Widström was awarded Honorary Doctorate because she helped to make international the only Romanian scientific journal on dentistry, Oral Health and Dental Management (OHDM).
